2018 | Bodega Tapiz 'Las Notas de Jean Claude' | Mendoza Michel Gonet et Fils lemon peelBlackcurrants, black beans and olives, followed by some dark plums, walnuts and a tobacco undertone. This is a nicely textured red, showing juicy and generous fruit with sweet spices on the palate, before a very long, attractive finish. Still quite smooth, despite the assertive tannins. 69% merlot, 22% cabernet franc, 8% cabernet sauvignon and 1% petit verdot. Delicious now, but can hold. 94 Pts James Suckling
